The first 7 rules of lens care

Worn correctly, contact lenses offer clear sight and an unencumbered day. Trouble usually comes from small lapses in care, not the lens itself.
Wash and dry your hands. Refill the case with fresh solution every day; never top up yesterday’s liquid.
Keep lenses away from showers, pools and the sea. Water is an invitation to microorganisms.
Remove lenses at bedtime unless your clinician has prescribed overnight wear. Eyes need to breathe at night.
Respect expiry and replacement calendars. ‘One more day’ is often the first line of a red eye.
If you feel burning, stinging or sudden blur, remove the lens and ask us. Unsupervised online orders can hide mismatches in power and base curve.
