What polarized lenses give — and what they do not

Polarized lenses filter horizontal glare and lift contrast. The difference is clear at the wheel, by water and in winter light.

UV protection and polarization are not the same. A good sunglass should carry both; read the labels together.

Some screens can darken behind polarized lenses. We discuss this for cockpit work and certain screen-heavy roles.
